NEW IBERIA, La. — Authorities are searching for a 19-year-old man in connection with an armed robbery reported Sunday afternoon in New Iberia.
According to the New Iberia Police Department, officers began investigating the incident around 2:00 p.m. on February 23, 2026, after receiving reports of a robbery in the 800 block of Henshaw Drive.
Investigators say the victim was approached by three male suspects and robbed at gunpoint. The suspects allegedly took cash, a backpack, and a speaker before fleeing the area.
During the investigation, officers reviewed video surveillance footage and were able to identify all three suspects. Two of the individuals were identified as juvenile males. Authorities located and apprehended both juveniles, who were transported to a juvenile detention facility and booked on charges of armed robbery.
The third suspect has been identified as Isaiah Joseph Latiolais, 19.
Arrest warrants have been obtained for Latiolais on the following charges:
Armed Robbery
Illegal Carrying of Weapons
Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Authorities are actively searching for Latiolais and urge anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.
