Several local businesses in Morgan City sustained damage as a result of a commercial structure fire early Monday morning.
Shortly before 2:00 a.m. Morgan City Fire Department was dispatched for a commercial structure fire in the Colonial Plaza shopping center on LA 182. The structure sustained significant fire damage which spread into adjacent businesses. Berwick Fire Department was also contacted for mutual aid. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No civilian or firefighter injuries were
reported.
