The Centerville Bridge spanning Bayou Teche will be closed to all vehicular traffic beginning March 2, 2026, for an estimated period of eight (8) weeks. The bridge will remain open to marine traffic during this time. This bridge connects LA 182 to Verdunville Road (Hwy 87). Motorists are advised to use LA 182 as the primary detour route. This closure date has been confirmed by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) as a firm, hard-set date. Should any changes occur, updates will be provided immediately.
Officials advise that residents, schools, businesses, and emergency vehicles will not have access to cross the bridge during the closure.

From Centerville, motorists should travel LA 182 toward Franklin, cross Bayou Teche via the Willow Street Bridge in Franklin, and then proceed to Hwy 87.
