Berwick Police Chief David Leonard reports the following arrest:

Verelyn Cannon B/M 65 of Berwick was arrested on Saturday September 21, 2024 at 11:19 PM for
- POSSESSION WITH THE INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE SCHEDULE II CDS CRACK COCAINE
- TRANSACTIONS INVOLVING DRUG PROCEEDS
- TURN SIGNALS REQUIRED
On September 21, 2024 at approximately 10:48 PM a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle after a traffic violation was observed. Officers made contact with the driver who was identified as Cannon. Through the course of the stop, Cannon was found to be in possession of Crack Cocaine, and US Currency. It was learned through further evidence, that the crack cocaine was destined to be sold and the US currency was derived from the sales of illegal narcotics. Cannon was placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department where he was booked on the above charges.
