Thibodaux, LA – In the aftermath of Hurricane Francine, Lafourche Parish District Attorney Kristine Russell, Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court Annette Fontana, 17th Judicial District Court Chief Judge Hugh Larose, and the Chief District Defender Andrea Stentz are working to restore normal operations.
If you were scheduled for a court appearance between September 10th (after 12:00 PM) and September 20th, it is critical to reschedule. A temporary station will be available outside the courthouse at 201 Green Street, Thibodaux, where new court dates will be issued from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM starting Monday, September 16th, through Friday, September 20th. In case of rain, this service will relocate to the child support lobby at the District Attorney’s Office, 103 Maronge Street, Thibodaux.
Both of the courthouses and Clerk of Court’s office sustained storm damage, resulting in court closures from September 16th to September 20th. Additional closure dates may follow. The Clerk of Court is actively establishing a temporary office; for clerk services, please email clerk@lafourcheclerk.com. For election inquiries, email elections@lafourcheclerk.com.
