Robert Lee Jackson, a native of Lake Village, Arkansas and a resident of Morgan City, was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at the age of 76.
Robert came from a very large family and knew first hand the importance of cherishing your loved ones. He was a dedicated husband, a devoted father, and great friend. Thanks to his gentle and friendly nature, Robert was immensely liked by everyone he came into contact with. His coworkers respected him for the hard work and dedication he provided while caring for his loved ones. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing among the beautiful bayous or being beaten at cards with the two ‘cheaters’ in his life. He also found joy in watching wrestling on tv, either at his home or another loved ones home. Most importantly though, Robert was a special man. A special husband, special dad, and special friend. His loved ones will forever keep his memory in their heart and take pride in knowing he believed in his Savior.
Those left to continue Robert’s legacy is his wife of 53 years, Helen Hughes Jackson; his only baby girl, Virginia Dean; one grandson, Anthony James Wood; two great grandsons; three sisters, Christine Ledford and her husband, Ray, Betty Ann Halford, and Rosie and her husband, Tony; one brother-in-law, John Hughes and his wife, Darlene. He is also survived by a very special friend, David Wilkerson.
He joined in heaven his parents, Eugene and Ruby Jackson; five brothers and three sisters.
In keeping with Robert’s wishes, services will be held privately by the family at a later date.
