Chief David Leonard Sr. reports the following arrests starting from June 8,2024:
Gerald Davis W/M 46 of Berwick was arrested on June 8,2024 at 02:39 AM for
- DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED 1ST REFUSAL
- RECKLESS OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
- IMPROPER LANE
On June 8,2024 at approximately 02:02 AM the Berwick Police Department responded to US Hwy. 90 in reference to a flipped vehicle. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the driver who was identified as Davis. While speaking with Davis he showed signs of impairment. Davis refused SFST Testing and was placed under arrest. Upon arrival at the Berwick Police Department, Davis refused to submit a breath sample. A search warrant was obtained and samples of his blood was collected. Davis was then booked on the above charges.
Stephen Rodriguez W/M 39 of Berwick was arrested on June 8, 2024 at 12:30 PM for
- MORGAN CITY WARRANT- DOMESTIC ABUSE BATTERY
On June 8, 2024 at approximately 11:19 AM, officers responded to a residence on Pharr Street in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Rodriguez and learned that he had an active warrant through the Morgan City Police Department. Rodriguez was placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department where he was booked on the outstanding warrant.
Lennis Paray W/M 39 of Berwick was arrested on June 10, 2024 at 3:59 PM for
- UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY OF AN INHABITED DWELLING
- WARRANT- CRIMINAL TRESPASSING
On June 10,2024 the Berwick Police Department received a call of Paray being at a residence where he had already been banned from. Upon arrival officers located Paray and learned that he entered the home without permission, and previously had active warrants from a similar dealing the day before. Paray was placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department where he was booked on the above charges.
Christopher Oubre Jr. W/M 28 of Berwick was arrested on June 10,2024 at 5:14 PM for
- MORGAN CITY WARRANT- ACCESS DEVICE FRAUD
On June 10,2024 at approximately 5:04 PM officers responded to a disturbance at a residence on River Road. Upon arrival, officers located Oubre and learned that he had active warrants through the Morgan City Police Department. Oubre was placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department where he was booked on the above charges.
