The St. Mary Parish Public Works Department has announced special holiday hours for two of its waste management facilities in observance of Juneteenth. The Harold J. “Babe” Landry Landfill in Berwick and the West End Solid Waste Pick-Up Station in Franklin will both close at noon on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.

Aside from this early closure on Juneteenth, both locations will maintain their regular operating hours. Parish residents with questions about the holiday schedule or other waste management concerns can contact the St. Mary Parish Public Works Department or reach out directly to either the landfill or the West End Solid Waste Pick-Up Station for more information.
