The Franklin Police Department responded to 15 complaints over the past weekend and made the following arrests:
Michael Payton, 35, of North Branch St., Baldwin, LA, was arrested on December 9, 2023, at 12:54 AM, on a warrant dated April 3, 2023, for theft, disturbing the peace, and resisting an officer. Payton was additionally arrested on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charge of speeding. Payton was booked, processed, and held on a $5,353.00 bond.
Brandy Washington, 22, of Martin Luther King Blvd., Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 10, 2023, at 5:10 PM, on the charges of aggravated assault with a firearm. Washington was booked, processed, and released on a $4,500.00 bond.
Kyle McMillian, 31, of Martin Luther King Blvd., Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 10, 2023, at 5:16 PM, on the charge of disturbing the peace. McMillian was booked, processed, and released to appear in Third Ward City Court.
