Chief Chad M. Adams has announced that the Morgan City Police Department will take part in the nationwide “Click It or Ticket It” initiative. The campaign is supported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.
The campaign began on November 18 and will continue until November 25. Officers from the Morgan City Police Department will be conducting additional patrols, focusing on drivers and passengers who aren’t wearing seatbelts.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has highlighted that one of the most effective safety measures for drivers and passengers is to wear a seatbelt.
