Patricia “Pat” Sinitiere Buteaux

Patricia “Pat” Sinitiere Buteaux, age 69, entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 22, 2023, after a long fought battle with cancer. Pat was born May 18th, 1954 in Franklin, LA. She was a devoted and loving wife to her late husband Sherel “Rabbit” Sinitiere for 30 years. Pat then remarried to Oswald “Moose” Buteaux in 2013 and spent seven great years together before Moose passed away in 2021.

Pat leaves behind her son, Sergeant First Class Sherel Sinitiere and his wife Alisha; her two grandchildren, Shay and Annalyse Sinitiere; along with her sisters and brothers, Debbie Hebert and her husband Rusty, Mary Picard and her husband Kent, Heather Tregle and her husband Chad, Joe Boudreaux, Jimmy “Tax” Boudreaux, Alvin “T-Boy” Boudreaux, William “Bill” Boudreaux and his wife Denise, Ronnie “RJ” Boudreaux, and John Boudreaux and his wife Karen; six stepchildren, Christina Vilcan and her husband Robert, Rebecca Savoie and her husband Lawless, Wanda Guillotte, Oswald “Eboo” Buteaux Jr., Happy Allen Buteaux and his fiancé Fonda, and Nicholas “Nick” Buteaux and his wife Kerrie; and several more grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to Rabbit and Moose, Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Broussard Boudreaux; her father, Joseph Boudreaux Sr.; her maternal grandparents, Dennis Broussard and Lucille Guidry Broussard; her paternal grandparents, Alvin Boudreaux Sr. and Louise Dupre Boudreaux; her in-laws, Linest and Mable Sinitiere; her brother-in-law, Farrell J. Sinitiere; and her aunt; Sherry Darce; and her uncles Danny and Gerald Broussard.

Pat loved her soap operas, spending time with family, playing Pokeno and shopping with friends. She was loved by everyone who knew her and could light up a room with her smile.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Pat’s life on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charenton during a 2:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial. Following the Mass, Pat will be laid to rest in the church cemetery mausoleum with her late husband Rabbit. Father Michael DeBlanc will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services.

Visitation will be held Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 AM, with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 1:30, followed by the Mass.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Shay Sinitiere, Steven Darce, Shawn Sinitiere, Ronnie Boudreaux, Joe Boudreaux, Bill Boudreaux, and John Boudreaux.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Hospice of Acadiana, Maison Teche Nursing Center, and Father Ed Degeyter.
