Forest Restaurant & Hotel in Franklin Receives Fake Bomb Threat

The Forest Restaurant & Hotel in Franklin was the target of a fake bomb threat on Tuesday afternoon. At approximately 1:40 pm, the Franklin Fire Department and Franklin Police Department were dispatched to the business in reference to the threat. In a Facebook post, The Forest said it has been cleared and it is open for business Tuesday afternoon. The business also thanked the community for its support.

When contacted by KQKI News, Franklin Police Chief Cedric Handy said he is not releasing any information at this time. We will update the story if more information becomes available.
