Mona Hebert Blanco, 88, a resident of Morgan City, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Patterson Healthcare Center.
Mona was a faithful woman of God; she was very active at Holy Cross Catholic Church and was a member of the Lady’s Alter Society. Mona was an avid gardener, as well as an avid Saints fan.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her three children, Dudley “D.J” Blanco Jr. and wife Annita of Morgan City, Marvin Blanco of Port Allen, Carla Sanders and husband Gordon of Patterson; four siblings, Delores Hebert, Barbara Rock, Jeswood Hebert and wife Diane, and Etsel Hebert; five grandchildren, Christopher Blanco, Beau Sanders, Katelyn Freyoux, Ryan Blanco, and Amanda Terrell; six great-grandchildren.
Mona was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie “Jack” Hebert and Hilda Adams Hebert; her husband, Dudley Blanco Sr.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Dishman, the staff at Patterson Healthcare, Mona’s previous caregivers, and her neighbors and friends, who showed her so much love and kindness and were always there for her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Mike Trahan officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Holy Cross Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. After Mass, Mona will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
