Berwick Police Chief David Leonard reports the following arrests:
Maliek White B/M 20 Irish Bend Rd. Franklin was arrested on May 2, 2022 at 11:33 AM for
- POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA (UNDER 14 GRAMS)
- POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
- VIOLATION OF CDS LAW DRUG FREE ZONE
On May 2, 2022 at approximately 08:45 AM officers conducted an investigation at an apartment complex on Hwy.182 after receiving numerous narcotic activity related complaints. Upon arrival, officers detected a strong odor of Marijuana coming from inside. A search warrant was obtained for the residence and executed. During this time officers made contact with Meliek and Maliek White. Marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia were located at the residence and through the course of the investigation it was learned to have belonged to Meliek and Maliek. The location in which the incident took place is within a posted drug free zone. Meliek and Maliek were both placed under arrest for the charges of Possession of Marijuana (Under 14 grams), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Violation of CDS Law Drug Free Zone. Meliek and Maliek were both released on summons to appear in court in August.
