Berwick Police Chief David Leonard reports the following arrests:
Christopher L. Lacaze, 43-years-old, of Fourth St. Berwick, was arrested on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at 10:42PM, on the following charges:
- Morgan City Warrant: Contempt of Court
- St. Mary SO Warrant: FTA for Trial; Domestic Abuse Battery First Offense
- St. Mary SO Warrant: FTA for Trial; Violation of Protective Orders
- St. Mary SO Warrant: FTA Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Amanda R. Campbell, 34-years0old, of Fourth St. Berwick, was arrested on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at 10:42PM, on the following charges:
- Morgan City Warrant: FTA for Trial; Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoids
- Morgan City Warrant: FTA for Trial; Possession of a CDS in the Presence of Minors
On April 12th, at 10:40PM, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to use a turn signal. During the stop, Lacaze was identified as the driver and Campbell was identified as a passenger. They were both found to have active warrants for their arrest. Both were placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department for booking. Lacaze and Campbell were transferred to the Morgan City Jail for housing.
