Irvin Wayne Pete, 67, a resident of Grand Lake, LA and native of Morgan City, LA, passed away peacefully on Friday March 2, 2021 at 1:34 A.M. at Golden Age of Welsh in Welsh, LA.
A public viewing will be conducted from 8:00 AM until funeral services at 11:00 AM on Saturday April 17, 2021 at Jones Funeral Home 715 Sixth Street Morgan City, LA. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing). Pastor Ron Bias will officiate the services. Burial will follow funeral services in the Morgan City Cemetery in Morgan City.
Memories of Irvin will forever remain in the hearts of his companion, Tena Marie Benoit of Grand Lake, LA; step-daughter, Rachelle Martinez; son-in-law, Damon Hampton; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, ; siblings, Pastor Ron (Margaret) Bias, Ruben Bias, Ulysses Bias all of Morgan City, LA: Stephen Bias, Terry Bias, Stephon Bias, Clarence Bias and Darrel Bias all of Lafayette, LA; his furry children, Izzie and Gunner, and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Irvin was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Johnson and Mary Pete; extended family, Claiborne D. Bias, Sr. and Helen M. Jupiter Bias; brothers, Claiborne D. Bias, Jr. and Kevin Lyn Bias and four sisters, Elvira Bias, Charlotte Bias, Julia “Judy” Bias and Gracie Ann “Wiggie” Bias Charles and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
The family would like to acknowledge Tanya January and the staff, nurses, and aides of Golden Age of Welsh and Heart of Hospice for their loving care given to Pete.
