Berwick Police Chief David Leonard reports the following arrests:
Tieka Junifer B/F 33 Roder St. Berwick was arrested on January 7, 2021 at 02:01 AM for
- MORGAN CITY WARRANT
On January 7, 2021 at approximately 01:58 am, the Berwick Police Department responded to a disturbance call on Roder Street. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Junifer and learned that she had active warrants through the Morgan City Police Department Junifer was placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department where after booking she was released to the Morgan City Police Department.
Albert Stevens II W/M 47 Pharr St. Berwick was arrested on January 7.2021 at 1:48 PM for
- MORGAN CITY WARRANT
On January 7, 2021 at approximately 1:48 PM officers traveled to a residence on Pharr Street and located Stevens who had active warrants through the Morgan City Police Department. Stevens was placed under arrest and following the booking process, was released to the Morgan City Police Department.
James Freifeld 40 W/M Pharr St. Berwick was arrested on January 7, 2021 at 11:30 PM for
- GENERAL SPEED LAW
- SWITCHED LICENSE PLATE
- DRIVING UNDER SUSPENSION
- POSSESSION OF SCH. II CDS METHAMPHETAMINE
Melinda Bray 45 W/F Pharr St. Berwick was arrested on January 7, 2021 at 11:30 PM for
- MORGAN CITY WARRANT
On January 7, 2021 at approximately 11:07 PM a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for speeding. Officers made contact with the driver Freifeld and passenger Bray. During the course of the stop it was learned that the license plate displayed on the vehicle, belonged to another vehicle. A computer check revealed that Freifeld’s license was suspended and that Bray had active warrants. During a search of Freifeld’s person suspected methamphetamine was located in his pocket. Both were placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department. Freifeld was booked on the charges of General Speed Law, Switched License Plate, Driving Under Suspension, and Possession of SCH. II CDS Methamphetamine. Bray was booked on the outstanding warrant and released to the Morgan City Police Department.
