An 80-year old Stephensville man has died as a result of a boating accident in Lower St. Martin Parish. Although details are limited, we can confirm that Herbert J. Crappell died in the Sunday afternoon accident that occurred in Bayou Milhomme near Stephensville. He was the operator and sole occupant of the vessel. Crappell had just turned 80 last week on February 4.
