WHAT: For the Wind Advisory, southwest winds 10 to 20 mph withngusts up to 30 mph. For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up ton109 expected.

WHERE: Portions of central, south central, and southwest Louisiana.

WHEN: For the Wind Advisory, until 8 PM CDT this evening. For the Heat Advisory, from noon to 7 PM CDT Friday.

IMPACTS: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Treenlimbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Hotntemperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

Use extra caution.nnSecure outdoor objects.nnDrink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out ofnthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.nnTake extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loosenfitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morningnor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion andnheat stroke.
