Upcoming Franklin Senior Apartments Accepting Applications

New Orleans Restoration Properties is currently in the process of taking applications for potential Senior Residents for the new Franklin Senior Apartments that will be located in the former Franklin Foundation Hospital. After being vacant for many years, developers at NOLARP have a $25.7 million dollar vision and plan to redevelop the property into a brand new development. While they will focus to maintain historical aspects of the original 1950’s built property under the Enterprise Green Communities’ national green building program, the plan will create a total of 63 combined one and two bedroom Senior only apartments.

The renovation will include all new plumbing, electrical, HVAC system, insulation, roofing and more.

Seniors will be able to enjoy security of interior courtyards without having to leave the complex. Seniors 65+ from the area will also be able to enjoy amenities of fully furnished, affordable apartments, based off of 60% of their Adjusted Monthly Income. The cost of rental will range from approximately $600 (1 bedroom) $700 (2 bedroom) for a fully furnished apartment.

The Restoration Project will be for local Seniors from the area.

The St. Mary Parish Council on Aging is currently accepting applications.

Attached are the architectural renderings provided by New Orleans Restoration Properties of this project.

Any Senior 65 and older can complete an application and bring it to the Tax Department in City Hall or the St. Mary Parish Council on Aging located at 613 Second St. in Franklin.
