Theft Suspect Arrested after Fleeing Baldwin Police and Causing School Lockdown

On August 31, 2023, Baldwin Police were called to a Dollar General warehouse after reports of an intruder. Upon their arrival, officers confronted a male suspect who managed to escape arrest by resisting and fleeing the scene. As a safety measure, three nearby schools were put under a temporary soft lockdown. The suspect, identified as Traveon Green from Robertson Street in Franklin, was later apprehended and charged with theft, resisting arrest by force, self-mutilation, and three outstanding warrants. He has been remanded to St. Mary LEC without bond.
