Suspects Booked on Multiple Charges in Amelia Area Traffic Stop

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Lucien Paul Theriot, 32, of 163 Patureau Drive, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, and Savannah Nacole White, 22, of 6094 North Bayou Black Drive, Gibson, on felony charges arising from a Friday evening traffic stop near Amelia, LA.

A deputy observed a vehicle traveling westbound on LA 182 with an equipment violation and initiated stop of the vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Lucien Paul Theriot and conducted an officer – violator interview.

The deputy then observed a passenger who was covering her head with a weather jacket. The deputy made contact with the passenger and recognized the individual as Savannah Nacole White. The deputy had prior knowledge that an outstanding warrant existed for the arrest of White for Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling in Assumption Parish.  White was immediately arrested. The deputy then conducted a protective pat down search of Lucien Paul Theriot and reportedly recovered a quantity of methamphetamine.

The deputy summoned a K-9 unit to the location and conducted an open-air sniff of the suspect vehicle. The K-9 alerted positive for the presence of illegal narcotics. A subsequent search of the vehicle reportedly resulted in the seizure of a legend drug.

Lucien Paul Theriot was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Illegal Window Tint
*Expired Motor Vehicle Inspection Tag
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Sale, Distribution or Possession of a Legend Drug without a Prescription

He remains incarcerated with bond set at $30,000.

Savannah Nacole White was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Warrant – Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling
* Sale, Distribution or Possession of a Legend Drug without a Prescription
*Detainer – Probation / Parole

She remains incarcerated with bond set at $30,000.
