On February 18, 2021, officers with the Jeanerette Police Department responded to a complaint of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
The investigation led officers to identify the suspect as Matthew Knight. It was learned that Knight had an ongoing sexual relationship with a nine year old child. Knight was charged with first degree rape and booked into the Iberia Parish Jail.
