Pearl Rack, St. Mary Parish School Board Member who represents District 4, has resigned her position from the board. Rack cited “personal issues” as her reason for resigning. Rack posted to her Facebook page on Friday morning.

“Due to personal issues, I find that it is best for me to immediately resign from being a member of St. Mary Parish School Board, District IV and withdraw my candidacy from the November 8, 2022, election for the School Board.

I humbly thank the citizens of St. Mary Parish, my constituents, fellow board members, and others for their support. It has always been my determination to serve through education, prayer, and faith in making the best decisions for all students and stakeholders. Not only as a past School Board member, but as a past teacher of St. Mary Parish, a graduate of a St. Mary Parish high school, and a parent of three graduates of a St. Mary Parish high school—I will continue to support those in the public school system”.

Rack also withdrew from the November 8 election for School Board.
