St. Mary Parish Public Schools Appoints New Chief Technology Officer

Centerville, LA. – With Mrs. Amy Vaccarella’s recent promotion to Principal of Patterson High School, St. Mary Parish Public Schools has found a successor for her previous role as Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Kaylum Vead emerged as the top candidate following recent interviews.

Mr. Vead boasts a significant academic background, including a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a focus on Systems, Analysis, and Technology (2008) and a Master’s in Business Administration (2022), both earned at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. His work experience involves serving as a Technology Analyst and Assistant Director of Human Resources in the Lafayette Parish School System from 2004 to December 2020, followed by becoming St. Mary Parish Data Analyst in December 2020.

Eager to contribute to the ongoing progress of St. Mary Parish, Mr. Vead aims to develop an ambitious vision for the district’s technology department moving forward.
