St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 34 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Martin Bryan Robertson, 34, Franklin, LA, was arrested on February 10, 2022, at 10:23 am on the following charges:
- Probation violation
- Failure to register as a sex offender or child predator
- Failure to provide notification as a sex offender of child predator
- Duty of offender to notify law enforcement of change of address
- Failure to appear for the charge of indecent behavior with a juvenile
Bail has not been set.
Timothy Jones, 58, Franklin, LA, was arrested on February 10, 2022, at 12:47 pm for obstruction of justice, open container, and resisting arrest or officer. Jones was released on a summons to appear on May 10, 2022.
Juvenile Male, 12, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on February 10, 2022, at 8:52 pm for runaway juvenile. The juvenile male was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
Miranda Jean Topham, 40, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on February 10, 2022, at 5:26 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of battery of a dating partner. Topham was released on a summons to appear on May 10, 2022.
NARCOTICS SECTION
Kenward Thomas, 22, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on February 10, 2022, at 3:56 pm on the following charges:
- Window tint violation 5% on front passenger glass
- Possession of schedule I (marijuana)
- Possession of schedule V (promethazine with codeine)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS
Bail was set at $9,250.
Courtney Richardson, 36, Franklin, LA, was arrested on February 10, 2022, at 2:00 pm for possession of schedule I (marijuana) and obstruction of justice- tampering with evidence. Richardson was released on a summons to appear on May 10, 2022.
Patrick Thomas, 48, Lafayette, LA, was arrested on February 10, 2022, at 2:57 pm for possession of schedule II with intent to distribute (codeine), possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to signal 100 feet prior to an intersection. Bail has not been set.
