St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 41 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Roger Andrew Valma, 41, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 22, 2024, at 9:37 am for domestic abuse battery and theft. Bail has not been set at this time.
Paula Elizabeth Plaisance, 57, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 22, 2024, at 11:25 pm for open container, criminal trespass, and disturbing the peace-intoxicated. Bail has not been set at this time.
All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
