A small child who was found Saturday evening in a swimming pool at a motel in Morgan City is recovering at an out of town hospital. At approximately 7:30 pm, first responders were dispatched to the Red Roof Inn for a child who was found unresponsive in the swimming pool.
The 5-year-old boy was reportedly discovered by a bystander and CPR was administered until first responders arrived. The boy was reportedly conscious when he was transported to an out of area hospital by Acadian Air Med.
No other details have been released at this time and we will update the story if more information becomes available.
