A small sinkhole has been discovered along the shoulder of highway 70 in Morgan City. The Louisiana Department of Transportation assessed damage on Wednesday afternoon. The hole was discovered on LA 70 between Veterans Boulevard and Fig Street. The LADOTD has decided not to close the roadway to traffic, but to section off the shoulder that is being affected.
There is currently no information on when the shoulder of the roadway will be repaired.
