On September 2, 2022, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 900 block of Troy Road in regard to a call of a female concerning hearing someone outside the residence.
Upon arrival, IPSO deputies heard gunshots within the residence. Deputies established a perimeter around the residence at which time, phone contact was made with a male individual believed to be inside the residence. When contact was lost with the male, several attempts were made by IPSO deputies to re-established communication with those inside the residence.
A decision was made to enter the residence, upon entering the bodies of two individual were discovered to be deceased.
Names of those individuals are not being released at this time. Iberia Parish Coroner is on the scene. This is an ongoing investigation.
