Shooting Leaves One Dead and One With Life-threatening Injuries ; Suspect in Custody

Sheriff Tim Soignet reports that on Jan. 1, 2021 at approximately 1:40 a.m. Terrebonne Parish deputies responded to the 200 block of Jolie Oaks Boulevard in Thibodaux regarding a shooting. Two individuals were transported to hospitals with life-threatening injuries.

Deputies and detectives learned that there was a New Year’s Eve party at the location, and that a physical altercation occurred between several individuals there. A gun was drawn, and numerous shots were fired at the victims.
One subsequently died.

As a result of this on-going investigation, Kamron Kajon Jacquot, 20, has been charged with Second Degree Murder and Attempted Second Degree Murder.
