Sheriff Craig Webre announced that the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office will hold a seat belt checkpoint on March 14, 2023. Deputies will be examining motorists for seat belt and safety seat infractions, as well as valid inspection tags and other potential offenses, at this checkpoint. Checkpoints are intended to promote awareness of these types of violations and make the parish’s highways safer for all motorists.
