ST. MARY PARISH, La. – Starting Monday, August 14, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) will initiate a $1.84 million project on La. 318 in St. Mary Parish. The project commences 0.341 miles northeast of the U.S. 90 intersection and culminates at the La. 182 intersection.

The construction work includes milling, pavement repair, asphalt concrete overlay, and related tasks. Scheduled for weekdays between 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the project’s progress depends on weather conditions.

Throughout the project’s duration, regular traffic will be allowed on the road, with a 12-foot width restriction and occasional lane closures in place.

Emergency vehicles can access the area but may come across delays. The anticipated completion date is October 2023. DOTD urges drivers to exercise caution when navigating through the construction area and remain alert for work crews and equipment present.
