Qualifying for Fall Elections Begins Wednesday

According to St. Mary Parish Clerk of Court Cliff Dressel, qualifying for the fall elections will be held Wednesday, July 20 – Friday, July 22 from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. Candidates may qualify at the Clerk’s Office on the 2nd floor of the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin. The primary election is scheduled for November 8, with the general election to be held on December 10.

Candidates must provide proof of identity in the form of a valid Louisiana’s driver’s license or identification card issued by the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles. Candidates are now required to provide an e-mail address.
