Pursuit Leads To The Arrest Of St. James Man

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jeremy Andre Harry, 24, of 7354 Freetown Street, St. James, LA, on felony charges arising from an attempted traffic stop turned pursuit on the night of May 9, 2023, originating on LA 70 East.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed an eastbound vehicle on LA 70 commit multiple traffic violations and attempted to conduct a stop on that vehicle. The suspect driver accelerated and engaged the deputy in a pursuit situation at speeds in excess of 110 miles per hour. The vehicle continued on until it turned into a driveway in St. James Parish. The deputy observed the suspect driver enter another vehicle and flee the area.

The deputy located evidence identifying the driver as well as a quantity of suspected marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Deputies obtained arrest warrants for Jeremy Andre Harry.

On Monday, Jeremy Andre Harry was arrested by St. James Parish Sheriff’s Deputies. Harry was transported to

Assumption Parish and booked into the detention center on charges of:

  • Aggravated Flight from an Officer
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Driving under a suspended driver’s license
  • Speeding
  • Flight from an Officer
  • Driving on a Roadway Laned for Traffic
  • Proper equipment is required on vehicles

Jeremy Andre Harry remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
