Patterson Junior High School Principal Lauren Rentrop has been named the Louisiana Department of Education’s Principal of the Year. Rentrop was named as a semi-finalist in March and was recognized Saturday evening during the 20th Annual Cecil. J. Picard Educator Excellence Gala which was held at The National WWII Museum in New Orleans.
The St. Mary Parish School District released a statement Saturday night to congratulate Rentrop on her achievement.
