Patterson Home Damaged in Sunday Morning Fire

On Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025, at approximately 9:13 am, Patterson Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the 400 block of Leo Drive for a residential structure fire. The first unit arrived on the scene in approximately 6 minutes and located a residence on fire. Bayou Vista Volunteer Fire Department personnel were requested for mutual aid due to the severity of the incident.

The scene was brought under control in approximately 7 minutes. PVFD and BVVFD responded with four fire engines, two chief ‘s units and 12 personnel. No injuries to civilian or fire personnel were reported during the incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. With the upcoming winter weather, Patterson Chief Scott Hutton would like to stress the importance of heater safety and working smoke detectors.
