Patrol Officer Kelleigh Gaspard Named Marine Corps League Officer of the Year

On Tuesday evening, Berwick Police Chief J.P. Henry and Assistant Chief Quentin Menard attended the annual Marine Corps League Police Officer of the Year Awards Banquet in Patterson. Chief Henry had the honor of presenting this year’s Officer of the Year award to Patrol Officer Kelleigh Gaspard.

Officer Gaspard joined the agency in 2023, beginning her career with the Berwick Police Department as a dispatcher/jailer. Through strong work ethic, knowledge, and a willingness to learn, she advanced to the Patrol Division in February 2024 and attended the police academy, graduating in June 2024. Since becoming a patrol officer, she has made a positive impact on the department and the community.

Officer Gaspard has proven to be a valuable asset to the Berwick Police Department, demonstrating thoroughness, motivation, and a continual drive for excellence. Her dedication to duty and service to the community make her a deserving recipient of this honor. The department is proud to have her on the team and looks forward to her continued success.

Chief Henry also congratulated all officers from the attending agencies for their outstanding achievements.
