A community parade will be held on Saturday, April 12 at 1:00 pm to celebrate and honor the Franklin High School Boys Hornets Basketball team who recently won the LHSAA Division IV State Championship game in Lake Charles.  The parade will start at Franklin High and make its way down Main Street to the St. Mary Parish Courthouse Square.

Mayor Eugene Foulcard says he encourages the entire community to show their support by wearing Garnet & Gold, the official FSH Championship T-shirt or school colors with garnet and gold to show solidarity. He added that the revitalization of a city begins with its heartbeat of a strong Main Street—flowing through its schools, organizations, and neighborhoods, strengthening the spirit of its people and added, “Let’s unite in pride and celebration for our Back to Back champions and for the future of Franklin!”
