One Person Injured in Franklin Mobile Home Fire

One victim sustained crticial injuries as a result of a Saturday morning structure fire in Franklin.  The Franklin Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire in the 1000 block of Barrow Street.

As of 11:40 am, the fire was deemed under control by Fire Chief Chuck Bourgeois.  One civilian patient was transported by Acadian Ambulance with major burn injuries.  The Franklin Fire Department was assisted by Chitamacha Fire Department as well as Centerville and Baldwin Volunteer Fire Departments.

The investigation has been turned over to the Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office. We will update the story once more information becomes available.
