Sheriff Craig Webre of Lafourche Parish has reported the apprehension of 38-year-old Brandon Kidd from Cut Off, following charges linked to drug offenses. Following an investigation that pointed to Kidd as a distributor of methamphetamine, narcotics officers secured warrants for both his arrest and the search of his East 59th Street residence.
The agents executed these warrants on March 28 and located Kidd at home, promptly taking him into custody. The search that ensued led to the discovery and seizure of an assortment of illicit substances: in excess of 14 ounces of marijuana, over 22 grams of psychedelic mushrooms, about 9 grams of methamphetamine, upwards of 11 doses of clonazepam, 18 hydrocodone tablets, almost 6 grams of hash powder, and 22 doses of a non-branded Viagra equivalent. Additionally, eight firearms and $1,689 in cash were found alongside drug-related paraphernalia.
Following his arrest, Kidd was processed at the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex under charges involving methamphetamine distribution. He faces further allegations for intending to distribute methamphetamine, hashish, marijuana, clonazepam, hydrocodone, and psilocybin mushrooms. Charges against him also include unlawful possession of a legend drug (a drug not recognized as a controlled substance), illegal possession of drug paraphernalia and commissioning weapons illegally in the vicinity of narcotics. Kidd’s bail was set at $206,100.
