Drainage District 2 is set to conduct controlled testing of their newly built pump station near Lake End Park, starting from Monday, July 17th. The pump station at Lake Palourde, along with pump stations #4 and #6, will undergo test preparations that involve backflowing the connected drainage systems. Residents can expect higher water levels in drainage ditches during the tests, particularly in low-lying areas.

The purpose of these tests is to determine the most effective settings for the new pump station and ensure community safety. District staff will be present on-site to closely monitor water levels throughout the process. Testing will kick off on Tuesday, July 18th, and conclude by Wednesday, July 19th. Drainage District 2 expresses gratitude for the public’s support and understanding during this time.
