According to Franklin Police Chief Cedric Handy, Jaquincy Mouton, 32, of Elizabeth Street in New Iberia, was arrested on October 17, 2025, at 9:26 PM in connection with a domestic disturbance and several related offenses.
Mouton faces charges including:
Battery of a dating partner
Simple criminal damage to property (2 counts)
Hit and run driving
Interfering with emergency communication
Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle
Aggravated criminal damage to property
In addition to these charges, Mouton was also arrested on an outstanding warrant from Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on previous charges, including:
Driver must be licensed
Possession of marijuana
Abuse of toxic vapors
