Neighborhood Watch Program Revitalization Meeting Held at West St. Mary Civic Center

On August 1, 2023, a meeting took place at the West St. Mary Civic Center, where Chief Deputy Gary Driskell, Captain Ross Mire, and Public Information Officer David Spencer met with Ben Grimm and local residents to discuss the revitalization of the Neighborhood Watch Program.

Chief Deputy Driskell presented how the SMPSO has tackled crime issues, shared relevant statistics, and discussed future plans. Captain Mire provided an overview of the Neighborhood Watch Program, its history, and its benefits when properly executed. Additionally, PIO David Spencer highlighted methods for citizens to report crimes, suspicious activities, and crime tips to the SMPSO.

Ben Grimm will oversee the program as it develops and expands into various communities and regions.
