NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Cecil Mabile, Jr., of 1007 Highway 402, Napoleonville, LA, on felony D.W.I. charges arising from a traffic accident on LA 308 south of Napoleonville.
Deputies were dispatched to the location and upon arrival, made contact with the involved parties, one of which was Cecil J. Mabile, Jr.
Upon arrival, deputies observed Cecil J. Mabile, Jr. attempting to drive off. A tire on Mabile’s vehicle blew, this rendering his vehicle disabled. Deputies attempted to detain Mabile but he resisted those efforts. After a struggle, deputies were able to arrest Cecil J. Mabile, Jr.
Investigating deputies determined that Cecil J. Mabile, Jr. had crossed the center line into the opposing lane resulting in a collision with a second vehicle.
Cecil J. Mabile, Jr. was transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center. Mabile submitted to a chemical test for intoxication at which time a blood alcohol test recorded a level of .12g%.
Cecil J. Mabile, Jr was booked on charges of:
*Driving While Intoxicated – Third Offense
*Hit and Run Driving
*Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle
*Resisting an Officer – 2 Counts
Cecil J. Mabile, Jr. remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
