Napoleonville Man Arrested on Felony Charges for Arson Threat

In Napoleonville, 35-year-old Demond J. Lewis from 147 Gold St. was arrested after a disturbance at his residence. Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reported that deputies arrived on the scene in response to a complaint. They spoke with the complainant, who informed them that a relative living with her was causing trouble and she wanted him removed from the house.

During interviews with the subject, deputies noted his agitated demeanor. As the investigation proceeded, Demond J. Lewis allegedly threatened the complainant by stating he would burn down the house if she removed his belongings. He was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of False Communication of a Planned Arson.

Demond J. Lewis is currently incarcerated, with his bond set at $10,000.
