BELLE RIVER, La. — A 19-year-old Napoleonville man has been arrested on multiple felony charges following a reported disturbance involving a weapon in the Belle River area Sunday evening.
According to Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon, deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 4300 block of Louisiana Highway 70 in reference to a disturbance involving the illegal use of a weapon.
During the investigation, deputies interviewed several individuals involved in the incident and determined that Danny Joseph Landry, 19, of Napoleonville, was allegedly involved in an altercation during which he reportedly placed a firearm against the head of one of the complainants.
Authorities say deputies also recovered electronic video evidence connected to the incident.
Following the investigation, Landry was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on the following charges:
Aggravated Assault with a Firearm
Aggravated Battery
Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile
Criminal Mischief
Disturbing the Peace
Landry remains in custody pending a bond hearing.
