BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Nathan Earl Adams, 24, of 2602, Lake Palourde Road, Morgan City, LA, on felony drug, traffic and gun law violations arising out of a Sunday afternoon investigative stop near Bayou L’Ourse.
A uniformed patrol officer was contacted by the individuals who indicated that a person, identified as Nathan Earl Adams, had pulled a gun out on them at a location in Amelia in St. Mary Parish. The two complainants provided a description of the pick-up truck the suspect was driving. Moments later, the deputy observed the suspect vehicle and initiated an investigative stop.
The deputy made contact with the driver and was able to make positive identification on the suspect as being Nathan Earl Adams. Adams advised the deputy that he was possessing a firearm in the vehicle. The deputy was able to obtain consent to search the vehicle.
During the search process, the firearm was recovered as well as quantities of marijuana, meth-amphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia.
During a computer check of the firearm, it was determined that the gun had been reported stolen by the Breaux Bridge Police Department.
Nathan Earl Adams was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
*Possession of Marijuana
*Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
*No Driver’s License
*Careless Operation
Nathan Earl Adams remains incarcerated with a bond set at $75,000.
