Morgan City Police Chief Mark Griffin Jr. announces that in just a little over two weeks the Morgan City Police Department will be participating in the Drug Take Back 2022. That’s Right, it is that time of the year again to rid your home of any unwanted prescription medication.

The Morgan City Police Department is again partnering with the DEA to allow our great citizens to dispose of all unwanted and expired prescription medication. This year’s location will be located at Spitale’s Pharmacy,1200 North Victor II Blvd. in Morgan City, LA.

On Saturday October 29, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. you can go to Spitale’s Pharmacy to dispose of your medication with no questions asked. Remember it is never safe to dispose of these types of medications down your drain.

The Morgan City Police Department also offers an onsite medication disposal drop box located at 723 Myrtle Street in Morgan City, LA that is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. to dispose of all unwanted medication year-round.

So while enjoying this fall weather as we prepare for winter, remember to gather up all unwanted medication and participate in the Drug Take Back 2022.
