MCPD Announces “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” Campaign

Morgan City Police Chief Chad Adams announces the Morgan City Police Department is partnering with the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission in the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” Campaign.

Every day, about 32 people in the United States die in drunk-driving crashes – that’s one person every 45 minutes. In 2020, 11,654 people died in alcohol-impaired driving traffic deaths – a 14% increase from 2019. These deaths were all p[preventable.

So, always remember to arrange for a designated driver when drinking. This may not only save your life, but the life of someone’s loved one that may fall victim to this very preventable crime.
